DIY Bracelets

A girl can never have too many bracelets!
Last week I led a bracelet-decorating craft for some kids and the whole time, all I could think about was getting home so I could make my own! Here are three ideas I came up with. I think this is a really fun idea to do with your girlfriends or cousins. Just put out a bunch of bracelets and all kinds of Aleene's glues and lots of beads, ribbons, markers, gems and stuff like that. Have everyone design their own bracelet!

SUPPLIES:
Wood bracelets (I got these from DIYBangles.com)
Assorted gems, crystals, letter beads

No matter what design you choose, first you want to color your bracelet with the marker. Do this on all your bracelets, that way you'll have a nice background for your bracelet.

1. Letter Bead Bracelet
Use Liquid Fusion and coat a small section at a time and add the beads one at a time. By the time you get to the end, the other side of the bracelet will be dry.

See? East peasy!

2. Giant Gem Bracelet!
Here is what I used for the gem bracelet. You can find these giant gems at the craft store (use your coupon!).
I used the Aleene's Tacky Dots because they fit perfectly on the back of each gem. Two made them super sturdy on the wood!
Place them all around the bracelet!

3. Crystal Bracelet
For this bracelet, it has a curved surface so I used the Tacky Line Roll in strips to hold the sheet of crystals. Just cut, press in place and then peel off the plastic.

Wrap the crystal sheet around the bracelet and press in place. You can add more glue strips if needed.

These bracelets have a lot of personality, I'm excited to wear them. Because they are so chunky, I'll probably just wear them one-at-a-time! Thanks for checking out my project!

My daughter has been wanting to make her own bracelets. She told me she wants to put animal charms for bracelets on her bracelet. Any suggestions on where to look for them?

Wow! I just love the look on this one. I think this would go well with almost any style. I think this would look very regal and chic on a formal wear and would look very cute and sparkly on a casual wear. Kudos on making such a gorgeous bracelet!
