DIY Cat Ear Headband

Last winter while visiting Urban Outfitters, Avalon and I were both smitten with a fabulous rhinestone accented cat ear headband.  Avalon liked it so much, she wanted to make one for herself.  We put our heads together to devise a way to make one using black felt, Tulip Glam-it-up crystals in black and a store bought headband.  A thick craft wire to give it some stiffness and some Aleene's Fashion adhesives helped to bring it all together.

This Jam Paper hat box really reminded us of a steamer trunk, and we thought it would make the perfect gift for stashing souvenirs and momentos after a trip. We used the paper maps to cut out a hert and then glued studs around the edge!

Hi! I'm Lauren, I do freelance designer for iLoveToCreate.  I was recently challenged by the iLoveToCreate design team to come up with a cool, altered t-shirt that started from a basic store-bought t-shirt!  I LOVE a challenge, so I whipped out my scissors, men's t-shirt, and my Tulip Fabric Markers and went to town making this cute tribal t-shirt that looks like I got at Forever21!  I LOVE being able to  DIY the hottest looks and fashions and I'm super excited about the outcome. Felt Calavera Kids Mask

Here at la casa Murillo, Dia de los Muertos is in high season! While I have a face paint kit out on the market, some people would rather wear a mask - totally understandable! I was at the dollar store recently and came across some scary felt masks shaped as skulls. My first thought was to paint over them, but then I thought - why not flip them around and decorate the back sides of them? It worked! If you can't find these at the dollar store, just pick up some stuff felt at the craft store, draw a template and use it to cut out your masks.

DIY Walking Dead Bloody Zombie Tee

So, pretty much everyone around the iLTC offices knows about my obsession with the TV show "The Walking Dead".  I've got my Walking Dead décor up around my cube, I've held tutorials with coworkers regarding the proper ways to put a zombie out of its misery, and with season 4 airing on October 13, I decided it's high time I have myself a bloody zombie hunter tee!  I can't believe I never thought to make one until recently!

Glitter Bones and Heart Tee.

I LOVE this time of year.
When I was young I could not wait to come up with a costume to Trick or Treat in from things I just had laying around the house. Now that I am all grown up I still feel like a little kid when October rolls around. It brings back such awesome memories. I wanted to make a shirt that I could wear even after the month of October. So the Glitter Bones Shirt was created.

Wee Witchy Woman DIY

A few years back my buddy Vickie Howell made a witch costume for my daughter Tallulah. I have several framed around the house and even once made a Wee Witch Shrine with one of the photos. 5 years later I am still working that photo shoot. I've always wanted to add glowing eyes to some of my Halloween photos so today I did.

DIY Glitter Polkadot T-shirt

One of my very favorite Tulip products is the fashion glitter transfer sheets.  I think it's so cool that you can easily put glitter anywhere without making a big mess.  The transfer sheets made this glitter polkadot shirt really easy to make.
