That's right these decorations are not for wearing, they are for stashing away memories to be saved for NYE 2014.

Little Black Heels Designer Challenge

We gave our designers a challenge this month in honor of New Year's!  They were asked to turn a plain pair of black pumps into a glitzy pair using just a few of our favorite Tulip products! We love how each black pump turned out so different!

Glitter Scallop Heels DIY

New Year's is upon us and it's the perfect time to get dressed up in sequins and sparkles!  I was given the challenge of dressing up a plain pair of black pumps for the occasion and I decided to go business in the front, and party in the back! LOL!  I love a good scallop motif, so I decided to add it to my design!  These turned out so fun, here's how you can make your own!

2013 Status Update Drink Coasters

New Year's Eve is right around the corner, which means lots of reflection on the past year and fresh goals for the future. Today I noticed a lot of Instagram and Facebook "yearbooks" - the best of the year. I thought it would be fun to take some of our favorite status updates and turn them into something functional for New Year's parties and gatherings.

There are several ways to go, you can put the status update on one side and let people guess who said it and then put the picture of the person on the other side to be revealed!

Here's how to make them!

DIY Printed Holiday Wrapping Paper

With just one day left until Christmas it’s time to make some Printed Wrapping Paper and get those gifts under the tree! Using the cute letter stencils, paints and glitter from Tulip you can add fun holiday messages and personalize any gift. Add some ribbons and bows and you’re all set!

TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Kraft paper
Scissors

step 1
Layout your kraft paper on a flat surface and measure the package that you want to wrap, make sure that  you leave some extra room just in case.

Mark off the space that you will be painting.

step 2
Lay your stencils on your kraft paper.

Using your pouncer, paint inside your stencil.

step 3
Before your paint is dry, sprinkle your glitter on top of the letters you want to add glitter to.

Let dry and shake off any extra glitter.

Now, it’s time to wrap your packages!

Have fun and customize your packages with your letters. Add fun and festive messages.

Happy wrapping and Merry Christmas!

There's still time to make some quick gifts, to see some fun fashion DIY’s check out my blog at Trinkets in Bloom.

No-Sew T-Shirt Gift Bags

I'm here at the iLoveToCreate headquarters in the design studio and I came across a huge bin o f tie-dye cast-off shirts. My first thought - gift bags! THe best thing about these is that you don't even need to sew - we're using  Aleene's® Fabric Fusion® Peel & Stick Tape™!

Kitschy Christmas Diorama Picture Frames

There is nothing like Christmas to bring out the crafty in people. Given - I craft all the time, but something about the holidays kicks my crafting in to overdrive. Recently I encouraged my friends to get involved and hosted a diorama date. Great fun was had by all and best yet I walked away with a custom made seasonal picture frame. It's not too late to make your own (I made 2 in 2 hours) and they make great gifts. Pop over to my blog Naughty Secretary Club to see the ones my girlfriends made and head over to BlogHer to check out the Deer Diorama.

I am constantly getting inspired by the things around me. Whether it's something from the present or 8 years ago. I am super excited about today's post and I am sure you will be too. I will share with you 3 different ways to use this UP inspired decor.

Ugly Tie Christmas Tree Sweater

This month in our design studio, we had an Ugly Sweater design-off!  I had no clue what I was going to do at first, but got inspired after a trip to the thrift store.  I think my sweater turned out so ugly, that it's actually cute and Chloe is adorable modeling it for the photos.  Let me show you how this project came together...

Santa Sacks

I thought it would be fun this year to have a special way to wrap the presents that are from Santa, so I made these "Santa sacks" to put under the tree for my boys.  You can make these even if you don't sew.  How?  It's a pillowcase.  Easy peasy.

DIY Shoes: Peppermint Flats

I can't resist painting on shoes - especially when I find awesome blank canvases on clearance at the store. I came across a pair of boring black flats for under $5. I could buy them and leave them black suede and go on with normal life OR have my way with them. Which do you think I chose?

DIY Retro Christmas Tree Skirt

We found this plain white mini Christmas tree skirt in the dollar bin at Target.  Score!  Avalon has a tinsel tree in her room and it needed something to dress up the not so pretty stand.  We put our heads together on a design featuring Tulip Shimmer Sheets and some sparkling trim.  Four steps later, we had an adorable sparkling tree skirt.  Fun...fast...and (retro)fabulous!
