Puffy Paint Monogram Storage

I have totally fallen for the Monogram trend. I just want to put my initials on everything! I made this supper cool Monogram storage tote for my friend using some Puffy Paint and her initial that I printed from my computer using word art. It was so easy!
Here is what you will need:
a denim or fabric storage bin
Word Art letter (printed and cut out)

Step 1: Using the Clear Gell Tacky Glue, wrap ribbon around the bin near the top. Layer 2 different ribbons for more visual appeal.

Step 2: Place the cut out word art letter in the middle of the storage bin. If you are worried about it moving you can adhere it down with repositionable adhesive. Take the puffy paint along the outside of the letter. Add more dots closer to the letter and less as you move outwards. Then remove the paper letter.

Step 3: Cut the ribbons into about 6 inch strips and tie and tie them around the handles. You can add a few or cover the entire thing like I did. This adds such a fun twist!

It was so easy to make, but the results are awesome! Personalization is everything these days! This would be such a cute basket for a gift too, that they can then use as storage in their room! It is perfect to store all of those random knick knacks in a stylish way!

Silly Frames for Silly Photos

header-blinged-out-frames-dreamalittlebigger

If there is one thing my family is good at it is refusing to take a serious picture. We have no pictures where we're all politely smiling with our hair and makeup done and Sunday clothes. We have pictures where we act a fool or just have fun. So I decided to bling up some silly frames for some of these silly pictures with Clear Gel Tacky Glue!

Quilled Paper Jewelry DIY

Quilling is one of those crafts that has always perplexed me. I was never sure of the what, why and how of quilling. On a recent trip to the craft store I stubbled across an all in one quilling kit from 3Birds Designs and a light went on. Suddenly seeing all the parts together it clicked. The fact that they have cute packaging and awesome colors of quilling strips didn't hurt either. All that I needed was a bottle of my Aleene's Clear Gel Tacky Glue and I was ready to get my quill on.

Beaded Christmas Tree Sun Catcher

Sun catchers are always popular with the kids! This is a great weekend project, or a fun project for a classroom. It will take a couple of days because the glue has to dry overnight. The actual making of the craft takes about 20-30 minutes. On the second day you’ll simply add a hanger and you’re done!

How To Make Sequin Ornaments

Bright, Bold and Beautiful is how I roll when it comes to anything in my life. If you know my style by now then you know I love adding pops of color and black and white to everything! When I saw these beautiful sequins I just knew they had to make a quick appearance on my studio Christmas tree. Let's just say this, they have moved twice so far...now they are by themselves on some old branches I have in a vase and I think they like it better. These ornaments are fun to make and anyone can do them. When the holidays are over you can box them up carefully and reuse them the next year! PERK: you will NEVER find ornaments like your's in any store!
Let's get started!

Galaxy Glitter Goo

This week I'm at the iLoveToCreate Design Studio and Alexa asked me to whip up a batch of Galaxy Glitter Goo! I love it when I get assignments like this. This project is super fun to make for kids' sensory activities because it is super gooey and sparkly! And easy to clean up too!
Read on to see how to make it!

Glue-Resist Altered T-shirt

I've been working on a tie-dye series for the second summer now and my assignment is to come up with a fun way to use dye. I don't know what was wrong with me this week, but my creativity well dried up! I happened to be texting with fellow iLTC blogger, Margot Potter of DIYDoyenne.com, and mentioned in passing about my frustration. She sent me a text of one sentence that changed the course of my attitude:
"Try a faux batik look!"
I've already used a bleach pen and had to whip something different. Then I remembered how my other crafty friend, Denise from Pearmama.com, likes to use clear glue for a faux batik look. Within seconds, my juices were bubbling and I got to work. I absolutely love how the end result worked!

It sure helps to have crafty friends!
