Flag Shirt, DIY

Flag shirts are so much fun to make
and since The 4th of July is just around the corner
I thought this would be a fun project.
I really love these new Color Shot Fabric paints by Tulip.
They cut the time it takes me to do a project in half
which is wonderful because my time is so limited.

Altered Tie-Dye T-shirt Challenge featuring Anne of Wobisobi

Editors note:  All this week, we will be hosting an Altered T-shirt challenge featuring some of our iLoveToCreate bloggers!  They were each sent a Tulip One-Step Tie Dye kit and Gildan t-shirt to distress, hack, cut up and alter to their heart's desire.  Have fun with us this week as we share four different looks from four awesome designers.  And check back with us in the future as we plan to have more challenges featuring our other iLoveToCreate bloggers!

I love creating different types of no-sew t-shirts, and when you add tie-dye to them, it just makes them even more unique. Here I am using the Tulip One-Step Tie Dye kit in Moody Blues. This is the easiest way to tie dye, because all you do is open up the kit, add water and go!  There's everything you need for creating the perfect tie-dyed shirt in there!
 What you need:
– 100% Gildan Cotton Shirt (Large)
– Scissors
Tulip One-Step Tie Dye Kit (I used Moody Blues)
 Fold your shirt in half.
Mark a diagonal line.
Gather that line and rubber band around where you gathered.
Add some rubber bands about 3 inches apart.
Now mix up your Tulip One-Step Tie Dye Bottles. Just add water to the top line of the bottle and shake well until all the powder is dissolved.

Squeeze you colors on your shirt, cover it with plastic, and let sit for 6-8 hours.
Cut your rubber bands and rinse your shirt in the sink.
Then wash in the washing machine following the instructions on the kit.
Now let's have some fun cutting this shirt up!
It's so easy to cut up and restyle and basic t-shirt as you can see.
 Cut apart the top strap.
Cut the other sleeve like the picture above!
 Cut and stretch the sleeve.
Cut one inch strips down the side of your shirt.
 Cut them open.
Now put on your shirt and tie the sides to fit your body.  It's the best part cause you can make it to fit your body type!
 Here's how the sleeves look.
 Another view...
Now you have a cute summer shirt for the beach or to wear with your favorite pair of jeans.

Lots of love,
Anne

The Black Cat T-Shirt: DIY

Tulip Color Shot Fabric paint is like spray paint for fabric.
Quick an easy to use.  It has quickly become one of my very favorite products when I do any kind of painting on material (and I do a lot of T-shirt DIY's )
This shirt idea came after my family and I took a trip to Epcot this past week.
Pairs is my favorite place to wonder around. Sometime I just sit in the gardens and watch people.
I have never been to Pairs, hopefully that will be a place I see someday soon.

Chevron Tie Dyed, Open back Tee: DIY

Tie Dye is one of my favorite craft projects.
I love it because it always surprises me when I  make one.
This summer I have been experimenting on different techniques,
and different ties of folds, rolls and wrapping.
Not only does Tulip One step Tie dyes make it super simple and fast,
Tulip makes it and  a lot less messy.
I was so pleased when this side wrap turned into a  Chevron design.
My only advice is to wear gloves at all times,
but even with gloves you will get dye on your hands. Guaranteed.
Summer and Tie Dye, is a great thing.

Palm Leaf, No Sew Halter: DIY

Ideas about how to recreate a t-shirt are constantly haunting me.
I have so many thoughts about t-shirt it's a little crazy.
Why do I always go back to using t-shirts?
Well,  who doesn't  have a t-shirt lying around,
and if you don't have one they only cost $5.00.
Here is a quick way to spruce up a plain old white t-shirt.
Oh.. and I am a little obsessed with Palm leaves at the moment.

Canvas Stencil Art

Canvas Art is a great way to express exactly how you feel.
Making these easy little pieces of art for someone
interjects a  piece of your energy and soul into the gift.
Now every time they look at it they will think of you.
What a great way to remind someone of how much they mean to you.

Tulip has the perfect flexible stencil, paint and crystals
to make this project  easy to create and really POP.

Glitter Kiss, Burlap Pillow, DIY

I love a touch of whimsey in my home, that is what makes it me.
I decorate with things I love more than with text book rules.
I think little touches of you everywhere makes the room feel like home.
Making this  burlap pillow to add that special touch was really easy.
Tulip makes all sort of products for you to add that special "You" touch to just about anything.
Lips are not the only thing that could go on this,
think outside the box, if you don't like lips then do something that relates to you.
That special touch of "You" that says, " Ahh I am Home!"
