Deep Sea Tie-Dye Bedspread

Tie dye is always a popular summer project, but isn't it nice to make something to be used indoors year round? This blue-on-blue deep sea inspired bedspread would make a great addition to any bedroom in the house!

Want to make your own? It's easy!

Materials
Instructions
Start by pinching the center of your fabric and swirling. When the entire piece of fabric is caught in the spiral, fasten with rubberbands to secure in place (click here to see further instructions on this technique, or watch this video).
After adding water to the bottles of dye, apply dye randomly over the surface of the fabric. By keeping a limited color palette, you will find layering colors may give you interesting results!

Let it rest overnight (or 6 hours, minimum). Fill washer to large load setting with hottest water suitable for fabric and a small amount of soap. Wash and dry separately.
 Wahoo! Look at that!
Head over to our TIE DYE YOUR SUMMER site for even more inspiration, how-to's, and fun videos to get you mega-inspired for some DIY summer fun!

Did you wash the sheets out before putting in your laundry? I did a couple practice pieces and my colors have all run together. I want the white to stay white! I let dry overnight...
