Esther Williams Inspired Swim Cap DIY

My daughter is on swim team and though she adores it, her blonde hair is does not. She needed a swim cap. No daughter of mine was going to wear a plain boring hat - oh no. In the spirit of Esther Williams I took her swim cap to an all new crafty level.

SUPPLIES

– Swim cap
– Liquid Fusion Glue
– Sizzix Big Shot
– Sizzix Flower #3 die
– Board Shorts (water proof fabric)
For my flowers I chose a pair of board shorts. Any waterproof fabric will work. I cut my shorts up into small enough sections that it could be run through my Big Shot. The Big Shot is a cutting machine that left me with a huge pile of board short flowers.

I stretched the swim cap over a ball to make attaching the flowers with Liquid Fusion Glue easier.
I attached the flowers randomly so that there was lot's of overlap. I just added glue to the centers as I wanted the edges to flop and be raised from the cap.
Allow the glue to dry overnight.
Once your flower cap is dry dive in and put on your best Ester Williams inspired show.
