Button Christmas Cards For Kids

Whether it’s for a holiday party at school, a Christmas gift for grandma or for their best friend, making homemade cards is a great way for kids to share the joy of the season. I have a really big stash of buttons so I thought I would show you and the kids how use them to decorate simple cards for the holidays.

Don’t toss those stray buttons! Turn them into crafty wall décor with Aleene’s® Thick Designer Tacky Glue®.

Materials List

• Aleene’s® Super Thick Tacky Glue™
  
  

• Miscellaneous

  •   Scissors
  •   Felt – light brown
  •   Measuring tape
  •   Buttons – assorted sizes and colors
  •   foam wreath – white 

  Instructions

  1. Cut felt to fit around wreath, then glue around entire wreath with Super Thick Tacky Glue.
  2. Glue larger buttons to felt first, then glue on layers of smaller buttons until desired look is achieved. Let dry.
  3. Cut a 3” x 10” strip of felt and loop around wreath as shown. Glue ends together and let dry.
