Make your own Glowing Slime

The other day I saw an amazing post from a Pumpkin and a Princess where she showed how to make your own glow-in-the-dark slime!  I really loved her photography and the idea of making my own slime, so I had to do a test of my own using the Tulip and Aleene's Tacky Glue products we have in our studio. And the slime turned out great!  So great that I had to take it around the office and show everyone what I had made.

What you need (I halved Pumpkin and a Princess's recipe):
–  1 tablespoon Tulip Soft Paint in Neon
– Medium-sized tub
– 1 Tablespoon Borax
Squeeze out all the glue into a medium-sized plastic bowl.
There will be some glue left inside, so fill up the bottle with water and pour out the water. Some of the glue will come out with the water.
Squeeze out about a tablespoon of paint in the mixture and mix in to give it a bright neon coloration.
Squeeze in a tablespoon of the glow paint.
Now for the fun part!  Mix in 1 tablespoon of the Borax. It will start to get slimy!

Keep stirring and this will happen...it will start clumping up into slime.  Borax is the magic ingredient that clumps it up!  At some point you'll want to get your hands in there and work it around.  Yes, it will be goopy, but it's a lot of fun (especially if you're a kid - or - kid at heart).

Now let's see this stuff in action!!

It lasted quite a while.  I definitely played with it a good solid 3-4 hours straight.  It does get less slimey the more you play with it cause your hands and the air dries it out. Make sure to put it in a container if you don't want it to dry out!
Put it out in bright light for a few minutes or charge it under a UV light or blacklight.  The glow will be bright for several minutes.

It's so much fun! Do you think you'll want to give it a try?
