Altered Quote Art T-shirt DIY

I love adding an altered touch to my clothing, so making this inspirational shirt was a fun afternoon project for me!  I liked playing with brushstrokes and textures to get my own custom look. Here's how you can make your own inspirational quote tee!
What you need:
– Plain men's t-shirt in color of your choice
Tulip Soft Fabric Paint in Glacier White
Tulip Multi-surface stencils (mine were alphanumeric, alphabet block, and alphabet script)
– Burlap Fabric
– Scissors
–Paintbrush
Cut out the negatives of your Tulip Multi Surface Stencils.
Place the negative of the stencils down onto the shirt in desired  quote and location.
With the white soft paint, paint over the entire stencil negatives, making the brush strokes go in different directions. Let dry.
Now start removing your stencils.
Now cut off the sleeves and the collar. You'll want to save your collar fabric to make the bows!
Now cut vertically down the sides of the shirt, only leaving the bottom hem in tack (refer to photo above).
Take the fabric from the sleeves and cut out a strip 2.5" high by 10" wide. Fold over and glue the ends together.
Cut a small strip of fabric from the collar. Now pinch the fabric together to make a bow shape. Use the Aleene's Fast Grab Adhesive to glue the collar fabric strip around the bow. Repeat this process and create another bow...you'll need 2 for your shirt.
Using the Aleene's Super Fabric Adhesive or Fast Grab, glue the bows to the bottom of your shirt, right below the slit you made on the side of the shirt.
Cut out a small heart from your burlap and glue in place next to your quote art.
Here's a couple detailed shots of my finished look!

I love the little bow!

And unless you plan on baring it all, I suggest wearing this with a cute little tank underneath! Happy creating!
