No Sew Potato Stamped Tooth Fairy Pillow

This has been a really hard week for me. First my son turned 3 on Monday and then my daughter loses her first tooth on Tuesday. Not only was I not mentally prepared for either I was also ill prepared when it came to a tooth fairy pillow. My poor child had to put her tooth in a plastic Ikea container under her pillow for Pete’s sake. Not acceptable in a crafty household. This situation had to be rectified before anymore teeth were lost.

Create Your Own Creepers - A Shoes DIY

Recently I went to a birthday where a friend’s son had a pair of creepers. I was immediately reminded of the shoes of my teen years. If we were not in combat boots or skate shoes we were sporting a pair of creepers. The little wee pair was so cute I was determined Baxter would have a pair. Well I was determined I would make Baxter a pair.

Polkadots and Neon - A Fun Jewelry DIY

My first crafty love is jewelry. It has been a long time since I have made in. Sometimes when you love something you have to set it free and then see if it comes back to you, blah blah blah. Whatever the reason I just had jewelry burnout. Lately I have been getting the itch to whip up some wearable magic. Enter wooden beads and my new favorite craft supply - Puffy Paint Writers.

Vintage Valentine Plate Portraits

I have a soft spot for vintage crafts. Each time I see a pair of plates with a spiffy felted couple on top I’m tempted to buy them. Finally today, I broke down and made my own Valentine’s Day themed pair. A little different from the traditional pair with the lady in her veil and hat and the mister with his pipe.

Get Organized Crafty Style in 2014

This time of year a goal on almost everyone’s list is to be more organized. I know it is on mine. As a matter of fact I am trying a 52 weeks of organizing type program. So far so good. Luckily, I have a few cute craft suggestions to make organizing easy.

New Years Eve Time Capsule Hats

Looking for a quick and easy way to celebrate New Year's Eve? Send 2013 off with a crafty bang!  Nothing says NYE like a fun party hat, but what about a party hat that is really a time capsule? That's right these decorations are not for wearing, they are for stashing away memories to be saved for NYE 2014.

Kitschy Christmas Diorama Picture Frames

There is nothing like Christmas to bring out the crafty in people. Given - I craft all the time, but something about the holidays kicks my crafting in to overdrive. Recently I encouraged my friends to get involved and hosted a diorama date. Great fun was had by all and best yet I walked away with a custom made seasonal picture frame. It's not too late to make your own (I made 2 in 2 hours) and they make great gifts. Pop over to my blog Naughty Secretary Club to see the ones my girlfriends made and head over to BlogHer to check out the Deer Diorama.

Not Your Typical Putz House

In recent years I have become a lover of Putz houses. You know, those adorable mini paper houses covered in glitter snow you see all Christmas long? Ya those. Ok, now that we have that straight let’s talk about how to make your own.

Up-Cycled Menorah With the Kids

This year I decided to broaden my children's holiday horizons. They only know about Santa, stockings and trees. I thought a little chat about a Menorah this year was in order. Better yet, this is the kind of Menorah your kids can help make. Since this was a very special Hanukkah landing on Thanksgiving it seemed like the perfect turkey day craft.

Thankful Thanksgiving Shadowbox

I love me a seasonal picture frame. Have I said that before? Anyway I also love me scrapbooking. Man I sound old. Anyway, all that being said Thanksgiving picture frames are far and few between so I grabbed a stack of scrapbooking paper and took matters into my own hands.

Wee Witchy Woman DIY

A few years back my buddy Vickie Howell made a witch costume for my daughter Tallulah. I have several framed around the house and even once made a Wee Witch Shrine with one of the photos. 5 years later I am still working that photo shoot. I've always wanted to add glowing eyes to some of my Halloween photos so today I did.

Celebrating Talk Like a Pirate Day The Project Life Way

Today is Talk Like a Pirate Day. To celebrate I thought I would share a sneak book into one of my scrapbooks. I have been playing around with jewelry findings, vintage embroidered table cloths and of course Aleene's Tacky Glue.
