  Instructions

  Dye Instructions:
  

  1. Cut stocking pieces from fabric.
  2. Prewash stocking pieces to remove sizing. Do not use fabric softener.
  3. Cover work surface with plastic tablecloth.
  4. One at a time, follow instructions in Tulip® Custom Dye Color Kit™ Recipe Guide to mix dye in a plastic container (for stocking) to create the following color:  Emerald – stocking
  5. Dye all fabric pieces according to Recipe Guide.

  Jingle Bell Stocking:
  

  1. Place a thin bead of Aleene’s® OK To Wash-It™ along top edge on wrong side of each stocking piece. Fold edge down into glue to create a clean edge. Place pieces wrong sides together and glue together, leaving top open. Let dry then press with hot iron. If desired, stitch together with sewing machine instead.
  2. Enlarge and duplicate jingle bell pattern pieces as desired. Flip over pattern to the wrong side and trace with chalk. Flip back over and place on front of stocking where desired. Refer to photo. Run hands over paper to transfer design in chalk onto stocking. Repeat step to create desired number of jingle bells.
  3. Squeeze a puddle of Fashion Glitter Bond onto a clean piece of foil. One at a time, brush a generous layer of Glitter Bond onto jingle bells, then immediately sprinkle with Silver Fashion Glitter. Place a piece of scratch paper on top of glitter and press lightly with palm to get maximum amount of glitter to adhere. Repeat for all jingle bells. Let dry overnight then brush with stiff paintbrush to remove excess glitter.
  4. Squeeze a puddle of Petal Pink Soft Fabric Paint onto foil or paper plate. Use a large, flat paintbrush to freehand paint ribbon with Petal Pink, weaving and looping through jingle bells. Refer to photo. Let dry.
  5. Outline ribbon with Poppin’ Purple 3D Fashion Paint. Let dry.
  6. Use Silver Glitter 3D Fashion Paint to add loop to top of bell.
  7. Outline and add detail to bells with Black Slick 3D Fashion Paint.
  8. Use Fashion Art Tweezers to place 5 mm Purple crystals randomly on stocking. Adhere crystals to stocking with the Cordless Heat-Setting Tool, following package instructions.

  Ornament Stocking:
  

  1. Cut stocking from dyed fabric according to pattern instructions. Use Aleene's® OK To Wash-It™ to glue down top edges to create a clean edge. With wrong sides together, stitch sides and bottom together, leaving top open. Turn right side out. If desired, sides can be glued together instead. Let dry. Press with hot iron.
  2. Enlarge and duplicate pattern pieces as desired. Flip over ornament and ribbon patterns to the wrong side and trace with chalk. Flip back over and place on stockings where desired. Refer to photo. Run hands over paper to transfer design in chalk onto stocking. Repeat step to create desired number of ornaments with ribbon.
  3. Squeeze puddles of each color of Soft Fabric Paint onto foil. Use a large, flat paintbrush to paint in ribbon with Glacier White, weaving through ornaments. Refer to photo. Let dry.
  4. Outline ribbon with White Slick 3D Fashion Paint.
  5. Paint ornaments with Petal Pink, Mandarin Orange, Lime, Turquoise and Cornflower as desired. Let dry.
  6. Outline ornaments with corresponding colors of 3D Fashion Paints from the Tulip® Blazin Brights Trendy Kit. Let dry.
  7. Use 3D Fashion Paint to add additional dimensional details to each ornament as shown in photo. Immediately sprinkle with Crystal Fashion Glitter from glitter pack. Let dry overnight then brush with stiff paintbrush to remove excess glitter.
  8. Squeeze a puddle of Fashion Glitter Bond onto a clean piece of foil. One at a time, brush a generous layer of Glitter Bond onto metal cap areas of ornaments, then immediately sprinkle with Silver Fashion Glitter. Place a piece of scratch paper on top of glitter and press lightly with palm to get maximum amount of glitter to adhere. Repeat for all ornament caps. Let dry overnight then brush with stiff paintbrush to remove excess glitter.
  9. Use Silver 3D Fashion Paint to add loop to top of metal caps. Let dry.
