Tie-Dyed Cupcake Liner Birthday Hat

There is something so sweet when it comes to a birthday party. I especially love hats, balloons, bows and ton's of color. Most of the time I find it very difficult to find that perfect birthday hat that can be worn for memorable pictures. Let's face it, who doesn't feel special with a birthday hat on! I know I do. Today I wanted to show you a fun way to make your very own with a few supplies. The great thing about this hat is anyone can wear it! You can make it with one color or 19.
Let's get started...

You will need:
*Tulip One Step Tie Dye
*Glue Gun
*Cardboard Cone
*White Cupcake Liners
There is something so sweet about a plain white cupcake liner.
Something really cool and new is this mini die dye kit. The colors in it are rad and the pack is called LOLLIPOP, it doesn't get better than that!
To start you will fill your bottles to the black line with water. The awesome news is the powdered dye is already in the bottle. Nice treat huh! Make sure when you add your water that you shake it till it's all dissolved.
Step ONE: Start splattering your dye all over your liners. Warning, when you start it will look like the dye is not sticking to the liners but it is so keep up the good work. This is the part where you can decide what colors you want and just how much.
This is what the liners will look like when the dye is WET. (above)
Below is what they will look like dry. Major difference huh!
I love how it ends up looking like watercolor. I swear I have so many ideas now. I can use these tie-dyed cupcake liners for so much.
Time to start making our hat!
Step Two: Open up the cupcake liner and fold in half. Fold two more times directly in half then you are done. It will look like a mini cone.
Step Three: Fold the tip a little like the picture above.
How pretty are the colors!
Step Four:  Add a little hot glue right on top of the folded part.
Step Five: Start carefully placing the liners on the cardboard cone. I like to hold the liner in place for a few seconds before I move on to the next one.
Step Six: Grab some of your favorite ribbon and cut it to your desired length. Add a little dab of hot glue on the inside of the cone and place one end of the ribbon directly on top of the hot glue.
You are now finished! I know you are going to enjoy this hat because I am!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and if you have ANY questions feel free to leave them in the comment section below! Big hugs! Hey! Wanna learn how to finger knit, come see!
