I wanted something a little different for my Halloween porch this year. I knew I wanted it to involve pumpkins and plants, but until I started thinking about black dye I had not formulated a plan. Once I started thinking about giving my jute hanging planters a makeover I knew just what I was going to do.
– Jute Planters
– Craft Knife
– Potting Soil
Wet your planters with water. Place your jute hanging planters in a tub (or trashcan) to dye them in.
Cover your planters with dye, turning every so often for even coverage.
Using your craft knife remove the tops of your funkins. You could use real pumpkins, but they would not last very long.
Fill your funkins with potting soil and plants.
Add your plant filled funkin to the hanging planter and enjoy.
