If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you know that every Friday night Scott and I have a TGIF celebration with a glass of wine. Naturally I have always wanted to do something fun with recycled wine bottles. So, I combined my love for wine with my love for Aleene's glues, and created these wind chimes. The brand new Aleene's Ultimate Multi-Surface Adhesive™ is great for use on metal, glass and other surfaces, so I knew it would be the perfect choice for my Recycled Wine Bottle Wind Chimes project.

Marble Painting with Tacky Glue
Marble painting is an ancient art that goes back hundreds of years. Despite its ancient roots, marble patterns are a major trend in modern design. You can find it in stores all over the place, but why bother when you can easily marbleize items at home?
Lucite trays are big deal in home decor right now (read: expensive) but you can make now using an inexpensive, everyday object. Want to know what it is? Keep going!

How to Bling-Up a Lamp
Happy Hump Day! Jaderbomb here and I am super stoked to show you what I made with my new tool from I Love to Create! Now I am from the South (DEEP SOUTH) and if you know anything about us cajuns then you know we LOVE everything jazzed up. No kidding, we bedazzle anything and everything. The only problem is you have to BUY everything jazzed up already and you are sorta limited to what you can get. NOT ANYMORE Y'ALL!!!!
Today I am going to show you a snazzy little tool that will allow you to put jewels EVERYWHERE!
I have so many ideas to use this for. Since Summer is right around the corner you can buy a plain bathing suit and add these jewels to the top part, decorate a onesie, an I-pad case, a pillow case and so much more.
This is also a really great craft for kids to do. Just make sure they are monitored because this tool gets REALLY HOT and we don't want them to burn themselves. How cute would that be!
Let's get started!!!

Twine "Wicker" Lampshade Tutorial
My home decor style tends to change quite frequently or at least every few years. I'm going away from the stark, clean and uncluttered rooms to something a bit more comfortable and homey. I have always loved wicker but with cats it's just not possible. Or it is but it looks like heck within a week. So I decided to incorporate the look by making a faux wicker lampshade from my newly remodeled half bath!

Stenciled Joyful Pillow Set
I like little touches here and there that suggest that there is a holiday occurring without being too obvious. This is largely because it is some time before I get around to putting everything up and a giant MERRY CHRISTMAS pillow makes you look very lazy come January. So I turned some Tulip Pillow Covers into some throw pillows that I just plain adore!

Wine Bottle Pendant Lamps
It seems that lately I've been hearing an awful lot about wine bottles. Being someone who doesn't partake myself I decided that I'd work with Perrier bottles. But no one told me that there was a distinct learning curve when cutting glass bottles. A quick trip to the hobby store and a few attempts these beautiful pendant lamps came together!

Wood Surround Glass Block Nightlight Featuring Liquid Fusion!
When you have an adult parent and child with ADD walking through the home improvement store together you're bound to get some crazy ideas. For instance, we came to the store to purchase something totally different for a totally different project but left with a couple of glass blocks and furniture grade oak boards. Why? Because I said to my dad, "wouldn't those things make a killer nightlight?"
As it turns out, it was also a great project to test out one of iLoveToCreate's newest products... Liquid Fusion!

West Elm Inspired DIY Throw Pillows for Cheap!
I am the type of person that falls in love with something even if it is totally out of my price range so I DIY it up. In love with some West Elm pillows but not wanting to pay the price they were asking I held off but couldn't get my mind off of them. So I busted out the Tulip Metallic Paint and got after it myself and saved a cool 70 or so bucks!

Fabric Painted Abstracts On Bar Stools
It seems difficult to reupholster something. Painting fabric is a lot easier. Not only is upholstery a skill, finding the perfect fabric can be equally difficult. Painting also has the benefit of being customizable. I had a pair of stools who's shape I love, but fabric seat I hate. My sister and I tag teamed them to try and make it better.

Modern Home Decor Projects
If you've ever thought about adding a few little stylish touches to a room or, heaven forbid, decide to overhaul the design completely, you know how expensive those little details can be. Rugs can cost you nearly a thousand dollars! Napkins ten bucks apiece! It's just crazy how much can be saved by going the route of DIY! And if you think handmade always equals handmade ugly, I've got a couple of projects that just might change your mind!

Easy Glittered Flower Bouquet
I've got to be honest. I feel kind of like a cheat for sharing this as a big tutorial. And the thing is, I totally wasn't going to. This is something I did for myself. But I had so many people say "how did you do that?" that I figured it would make a great tutorial :) So today I'm sharing one of my favorite ways to fancy up my home and centerpieces when I have guests coming over.

Spreading the Crafty Cheer at My New Crib
I have been in my new house a couple of weeks now. Sure, there are still boxes in the garage and plenty of knick-knacks that have yet to find a home - but my I Love to Create Crafts are settling in just fine. Crafts make the casa so I have been sprinkling the handmade goodness all around my new abode.

DIY Tiki Fabric Lampshade
Turn a tired old lampshade into a mid century modern inspired DIY Tiki Fabric Lampshade with this cheap and easy project! We bought this lampshade at Ikea years and years ago. Alas, it got a tear in it on our last move. No worries, Aleene's Fabric Fusion made quick work of giving this sad old lampshade a much needed makeover. Avalon is redesigning her room with a beach theme, I had this kitschy pin up boys fabric from a project in one of my books several years ago. You can easily find Tiki or mid century inspired fabrics on the internet or at craft and fabric shops, bark cloth would be fabulous here! Avalon and her Dad made this project while I was out of town on business and I have to say, they did a smash up job!

Home Goods Fabric Covered Ottoman Hack
I spend way too much time in Home Goods. Like the cashiers know me by name. Recently they have had a lot of fabulous items from India that have been catching my eye. Case in point, this ottoman. Problem was the ottoman is $70. The rugs are $7. I kept thinking their had to be a way to make my own version and I was right.
