Canvas Stencil Art

Canvas Art is a great way to express exactly how you feel.
Making these easy little pieces of art for someone
interjects a  piece of your energy and soul into the gift.
Now every time they look at it they will think of you.
What a great way to remind someone of how much they mean to you.

Tulip has the perfect flexible stencil, paint and crystals
to make this project  easy to create and really POP.

Tie-Dye Wrapped Necklace

TiedyeWrapNecklace generation-t.com
This quick and easy accessory heralds in a Bohemian springtime. It's the perfect project to use any failed tie-dye attempts on -- or you can tie-dye a whole T-shirt or piece of fabric and host a party! (You can make at lease 10 necklaces from one large T-shirt.) This particular version is directly inspired by the Fabric-Covered Bead Necklace from The Jewelry Recipe Book by Nancy Sorian0 -- substituting in T-shirt fabric (of course) whenever possible!

No #lilyfortarget No Problem - Make Some No Sew Knock Off Napkin Pillows

So you didn't get up early enough on Sunday to score any #lilyfortarget Worse yet maybe you did get up and still didn't get anything. No Lilly, no problem. I was not about to swashbuckle my way through that sea of pink obsessed eBay reselling pirates. I instead had my eyes on some napkins, ball fringe and a bottle of Liquid Fusion. I slept in late Sunday and still got some rad 60's inspired outdoor pillows and you can too.

Peekaboo Shamrock Tee

About 3 years ago I made a off the shoulder Heart  Peekaboo shirt for Valentine's Day.

I thought using this same idea I could make a Shamrock shirt.
I added a few  Tulip Crystals to the Shamrock Shirt  to give it that extra sparkle.
If you follow me at all you know that I am continuously trying
to reinvent the plain old tee shirt.

No-Sew Vest T-shirt: New Life for Old Clothes!

Give new life to old kids' clothes -- No-sew Vest T-shirt

As the mom of four boys, I know how quickly kids can stain, rip, or otherwise destroy their clothes. But just because it's stained or holey doesn't mean you can't remake a clothing item into a great new piece! Combine two or more old pieces to help build a brand new t-shirt. You don't even have to know how to sew.

I took a too-small vest and combined it with a colorful t-shirt to make a new wardrobe staple that I love. Just how easy is it to make this stylin' DIY vest t-shirt?

I love having a ton of sneakers to choose from. They're comfy and if you have the perfect ones, you can even rock them with a dress! And while I love the look of designer sneakers, there's no way I'd ever be willing to pay $650 for a pair.

How to make a Leather Tribal Phone Case

It's almost summertime and we all love sporting fashionable patterns, right! I know I do! Lately I have been searching for the "perfect" phone case which can be difficult at times. My phone is a part of me 24-7 and when it doesn't feel like it goes with me I freak! Well not really but you get my point. I decided to create my own leather phone case and put all of my energy into the design. So now when my phone is in my hands or on my ear it will look just as cute at the shirt and shoes I am wearing!
Let's get started...

No Sew Potato Stamped Tooth Fairy Pillow

This has been a really hard week for me. First my son turned 3 on Monday and then my daughter loses her first tooth on Tuesday. Not only was I not mentally prepared for either I was also ill prepared when it came to a tooth fairy pillow. My poor child had to put her tooth in a plastic Ikea container under her pillow for Pete’s sake. Not acceptable in a crafty household. This situation had to be rectified before anymore teeth were lost.

No Sew Embellishing

Embellishing clothing is such a fun way to personalize things.  However, even if you don't sew there are still lots of ways to embellish clothing.  All of Aleene's adhesives can help you get that hand-sewn look without even picking up a needle and thread.

Here are a couple of ways I embellished some onesies without sewing.  For the first onesie (pictured above) I got out some lace and Aleene's Fabric Fusion.
I ran a line of fabric fusion down the sleeve and another line parallel to it since my lace was fairly wide.  I pressed on the lace, allowed it to dry well, and it was done.
While I did sew to make the hat, I actually used fabric fusion on the hat as well so that the petals on the flower wouldn't flop around or fall downward.
On another onesie I pulled out some leather I had, a Tulip fabric marker, and Aleene's Peel and Stick Sheets.
I cut a small heart out of the leather and used my Tulip fabric marker to create stitch marks.
I traced the heart onto the peel and stick sheet to cut the adhesive the same size as the heart.
Then I peeled off the backing and pressed the heart onto the shirt.  Done.
You could even add a name right below the heart with the fabric marker for a personalized look.
So what will you embellish next?

DIY Summertime Swirly Shoes

Hey everyone! It's SUMMERTIME! YAAAAAY! I found these cute kicks on clearance at Target for five bucks. (Score!) I LOVE the color, but since it's summertime I thought I'd make them pop even more by adding yarn swirls and gems.

– Shoes
– Yarn
– Fabric Fusion
– Gem
– Cold Glass of lemonade (recommended!)
Squeeze a quarter sized amount on to shoe. Pinch the end of yarn and apply it to the shoe. Next, simply wrap around in a spiral/swirl. Repeat until you get the look you want. I like the different sizes of circles that I ended up with!
Now add a little drop of glue in the center of each swirl and add a gem. You can do the matchy-matchy thing or add some contrast like I did.
I love my new shoes, they are so cute and are great for the beach or pool side parties! Now, where is that glass of lemonade??
Thanks for reading, I hope you liked my project! For more stuff, check out my Facebook page! http://facebook.com/mayainthemoment
