Tie Dye Ruffle Top Girls Dress DIY

One of my favorite summer silhouettes is an off the shoulder top with a ruffle and they are right on trend for this summer. This DIY was inspired by the super cute ruffle tube tops from Lilly Pulitzer, who we all know is the queen of summer and resort dressing! So let me show you a super easy way to alter a big t-shirt into a super cute Ruffle Top Girls Dress and while we’re at it we’ll add the perfect summer print TIE DYE using Tulip’s One Step Tie Dye kit!

Abstract Drip Dye T-shirt

I love when summer tie dye season rolls around, cause I'm always bursting at the seams with new ideas with our Tulip One-Step Tie-Dye!  I love coming up with fun new ways to use it!  This technique is very Jackson Pollack-inspired!  I absolutely love making my own abstract art on canvases, so I just transferred that idea to a shirt and I love the results, don't you? Here's how you can make your very own!

Swimming in a Sea of Tie Dye

We were super busy late yesterday afternoon knocking out over 100+ shirts in our studios! Why did we make so many shirts in the same style and colors? Well, you know how you see the shirts on display in your local craft store? A lot of times we dye, paint, glitter, and spray them either here at our studios or our employees or freelance designers take them home to do them.

No joke...in the past month, over 5,000 shirts have been created and shipped out! Talk about a lot of work!! The shirts you see in stores don't magically appear, they take a lot of effort and coordination. We hope seeing them on display inspire you to pick up a box of tie dye or a bottle of paint so you can make your own!

Here's our team hard at work and a few in progress pics! It's much more fun (and faster) when we work as a team!

Our employees love tie dye!

Check out Frank Peters (our R&D manager) and Lauren Binci (our new product development manager), hamming it up wearing their custom Tulip® One-Step Fashion Dye™ t-shirts in the office for casual Friday! Frank said Debbie (you may remember her from our post on Adam Lambert) made him the shirt. Debbie's always trying out new techniques and having fun with tie dye! Lauren is also very creative and whipped up a tie dye shirt, and then sewed her custom shirt using one of her corsets as a guide.

We absolutely love seeing our employees wearing our products here at I Love To Create!

Have you used our dyes or other products in a project recently and want to shout it from the rooftops? Leave a link to it in our comments section or shoot us over an e-mail at ilovetocreateblog@yahoo.com . We'd love to see what you love to create!

Starbucks employees love our Tie Dye!

Today, while making a much needed coffee run to Starbucks, one of our team members, Gloria Bottaro, spotted her barista wearing a tie dye shirt.

When she inquired more about the tie dye creation, she found out that one of the baristas had made tie dye shirts for that store's entire crew using our One-step Tie Dye! How freakin' cool is that? What a fun and easy way to show unity and add a little more color and spirit to the workplace!! Gloria snapped a pic of her barista wearing a shirt made with the Tulip® Ultimate One-Step Tie Dye Kit™.

If you create your own tie dye shirts or clothing as part of a sleepover, kid's camp, or work or school activity, please share them with us. E-mail us at ilovetocreateblog@yahoo.com and attach your project! Welove to see what you make! You might just be featured here on our blog and other social media sites :)
