Sparkle & Shine Dot Shoes

sparkledotshoes generation-t.com
Nothing like a little glitter paint to add a quick and easy sparkle to your step. Here's a  snazz-up-your-kicks tutorial that works year round, but is particularly perfect as we head into the holidays (because who wants to stand around and drink eggnog/drop it like it's hot/watch the ball drop in heels?)!

DIY Stenciled PIllows

Create fun throw pillows in a snap with these awesome stencils! While I don’t normally DIY a lot of things that aren’t wearable, I have to admit that with how easy and nearly foolproof these stencils are, it’s easy to get inspired to start stenciling everything! I made these big pillow’s for my daughters room but now I’m thinking that I could make some cute ones (cause you can never have enough pillows!) for the balcony and the couch and… By combining the Tulip Textile Stencils with the Tulip Stencil Spray Adhesive it’s so easy to get super clean lines and great images! How to Marble Paint Clothing

One of the many hot trends this summer besides pineapples, woven wall hangings and shibori is marbleizing. I have seen people give gorgeous marbled texture to paper galore. I thought I would try it out with clothing and fabric paint.

DIY Galaxy Beach Cover Up

It’s amazing how a little paint and some cutting can totally transform a plain black t-shirt into a fun and out of this world (pun intended!) Galaxy Beach Cover Up! It’s so easy to create a galaxy look on a t-shirt with tulip fabric paints and once you’re done alter your t-shirt into a cute summer top or beach cover up! I kept this design a little more modest in the front and open in the back (business in the front, party in the back!), perfect for a day at the beach. Let’s get started!

DIY Concert Shirt

So you have the tickets to the concert, but what do you wear? You can create the perfect concert look without paying for it. I am headed to Lady Gaga concert tomorrow (eeek!!) in true DIY fashion! It is super simple to create your very own shirt to show support for your favorite performer with Tulip Soft fabric paint. And if you want to go all out like I did- you can complete the whole look with hair chalk and face paint.

Tie Dye Dream Pillow

April is supposedly the rainy and cloudy month, but it has been pretty nice so far in my neck of the woods and I am no going to complain. The cloud on the pillow I have created and am sharing with you today is not worth complaining over either. Actually it is quite cute and super soft!

Aztec-inspired Derin Bag

You are totally going to think I'm cray-cray bananas, drizzled with loca sauce when I tell you about this bag. The awesome folks at Onna Ehrlich wrote to me to see if I would feature their beautiful Derin bag ($650.00). They were kind and generous enough to send me one to have and keep!

Deep breath.

So I received the bag and loved it! But I thought I'd give it a little DIY love, maybe just a few light barely-there stenciled Aztec designs. Next thing I knew, I went to town on the entire bag! I painted a $650 designer bag!

But you know what? I LOVE IT EVEN MORE!!!! Here is how it all went down, read on...

Artful Office Chair Makeover

The look of my art room is constantly changing. I'm on this kick where I want everything to have purpose and meaning. So when it came to upgrading my office chair/workstation chair, I decided that instead of buying a new one, I would paint the one I have.

Think about it - our computer or art table chairs are where we create our magic. Why not, make over your chair so it is artful and bursting with your personality and creativity? Right?

Click below to see how I did this - it was easy, I used Tulip Soft Fabric Paints. Very vibrant with excellent coverage!

Feather-stamped Tee and Bag

When I was young I had a collection of rubber stamps.  The only thing I ever used them for was making cards.  However, with the I Love to Create products, I use stamps in so many different ways.  I carved this feather stamp and used it on a couple of projects here to show you how you can make use of any stamp you might have.

DIY Rorschach Test Backpack

This is one of those absurdly simple, low stress, maximum impact kind of crafts.  Most DIY back to school projects lean in the feminine direction, but this one could work just as well for a guy as a gal.  Use a washable white backpack (this is 100% cotton) and some black fabric paint and let your kid or teen do this themselves.  This would look fabulous in neon colors too, but I love the bold simplicity of the black and white.  They key is keeping it neat so you get a nice clean impression.  I'd give your teen a black Tulip fabric marker to take to school and let their friends write what they see on the backpack.  So it's interactive, fun and a great conversation starter.
