It's almost Halloween and you know what that means!!! TIME FOR PUMPKINS!
Every year I look forward to buying tons of plastic pumpkins and create new designs. I like the artificial pumpkins for the simple fact that they will last forever, well not really but you get the point.
Tulip created an amazing glow in the dark paint and it worked perfect for this project. This craft is great for kids to do and you will watch the amazement on their face when you put them under or near a black light! Let's get started! Come check out my other awesome Halloween projects on my blog www.jaderbomb.com.  I also did these awesome pumpkin projects!

How to make a Painted Canvas Tote

Welcome to SPRING crafting 101. Well let me be real with you. I am a bag addict and there is nothing more fulfilling than creating your own bag. It's sorta like you are your own personal designer. I will imagine this bag is going in some high end store like... Walmart. HEHE!
I am totally in love with all of the neon crafts lately so I thought it was totally necessary to have a neon bag on my shoulder for the spring.
 Let's get started!

Neon Watercolor Shirt with Tulip Fabric Markers

Since I'm the social media specialist for a craft company, I see lots of projects and gets lots of ideas on DIYs I think would be fun to try! Every now and then, I actually take a break from posting and actually create something.  This is one such time!  Inspired by the cool Tulip Fabric Marker watercolor technique Pattie created last year, and my love of neons and geometrics, I bring to you this fun tee I whipped up in about an hour!

Tie-Dyed Easter Eggs

Welcome to SPRING. Well, not really. In Louisiana one day it's 80 degrees and the next day it's freezing rain. What's going on mother nature! I figured everyone was tired of seeing winter crafts so I am bringing a little bit-o-spring strait to your beautiful eyes! I have been playing around with tie-dye and eggs lately and I wanted to show you this fun tie-dye technique. This craft is great for a group of adults to do or for your little kiddos. Let's get started!

Neon Kicks

I was a kid in the 80's and one of my very favorite pair of shoes were some neon chucks. My grandmother thought they looked like "the ugliest bowling shoes ever" but I remember them fondly! With the resurgence of neon it seemed the perfect time to recreate those fun, neon kicks!

Happy Face Neon Glitter Ornaments DIY

As I've been perusing the craft and department stores this holiday season, I've been noticing a lot of brighter color ornaments.  A lot of them in shades of bright neon! Neon has been a part of my life since 1991 (no joke...I had a bright orange button-up made by my mom). Anyway, I wanted to add a fusion of neon to my holiday ornaments this year and I knew I had to use Tulip Fashion Glitters and 3D Paint a.k.a. Puffy Paint.  Here's how you can make your own Happy Face ornaments of your own!

DIY Neon Colorblock Cosmetic Bag

I found this nifty cotton cosmetic bag at Michaels recently and had to pick it up!  It's a perfect blank canvas. This would make a great little pencil case for Back to School, too.  A little painter's tape, Tulip fabric paints, some angled paint brushes and in under thirty minutes you can make a custom bag with just a few splashes of neon.  Neon works best as an accent for maximum visual impact.  The quilting on the bag made it easy to create a colorblock pattern, which is vaguely chevron inspired, but given a fresh, asymmetrical spin.  I love this so much, I want to make a matching purse!

Neon Ombre Heart Freezer Paper Tee

Are you in  love with the neon trend as much as I am?  I don't know about you, but I'm not an all-over neon color girl.  Neon is best for me when used sparingly!  That's why I made this cute neon heart tee.  It's just the right amount of neon to rock and it's super easy to make using the Tulip Neon Fabric Spray paints!

MAYA IN THE MOMENT TEEN CRAFT: Mondrian-inspired Neon Canvas Earrings

Piet Mondrian was a famous Dutch artist known for creating art with a white background, horizontal and vertical lines and three primary colors.

I kind of did my own MayaInTheMoment twist! You can use raw canvas and create wrist cuffs, belts, or earring like this.

Supplies:
Tulip® Soft® Fabric Paint Tubes (Neon)
Tulip® 3D Fashion Paint (Black Slick)
Raw canvas (about 2x3", 2 pieces
Hole puncer
Earring hooks
2 jump rings
Paint brush, cup of water to rinse brush
Needle nose pliers.

1. Cut your canvas to the size of earrings you want.
2. Paint modular sizes of different colors around the rectangle. Let dry.

3. Use the 3D paint to draw vertical and horizontal lines to separate the colors. Let dry.

4. Punch hole at top, add jump rings and earring hooks.

5. If you want to take it a step further, add glitter on top of the paint!

Neons and Nature Picture Frame

I have a real thing for neons and neutrals lately. You might recall my post entitled All-a-flutter For Fluorescents. There was also the neon cake pop display I made for my sister's bachlorette party. Then the real obsession with painted sticks started here with Going All Banksy on the Forest. Month's later my love for this color combination is still going strong. So much so that today for I Love to Create I decided to bring the neon to the neutrals yet again.

SUPPLIES
Picture Frame
Scribbles Paints
Paint Brushes
Masking Tape

You might recognize this wooden frame as a prop from the Little Lumberjacks and Jills party I recently threw for my kids. The frame was perfect for the woodland theme of the party, but did not fit in with the rest of my kitschy decor when the buffalo plaid came down. I didn't want to just donate the frame or give it away, instead I decided to give it the Naughty Secretary Club treatment. The first thing I did was using masking tape I taped off sections.

Using neon Scribbles paint I adorned my frame. Consider yourself warned that this takes several coats. I eventually added white paint to make the neon more opaque. A white base coat on the stripes might have been my best bet in retrospect.

Once the paint had dried completely I removed the masking tape to reveal the finished product. Ahhh, much better. My very own neons and neutrals painted frame. I love the two extremes of neons and nature together. Then again I would.
