Glittery Marble Ornaments

I LOVE ALL THINGS THAT ARE GLITTERY and BRIGHT and WHIMSICAL!!!!
Happy Hump Day all you crafty crafters! It's Jade here showing you how make glittery, swirly ornaments. I know Christmas is almost here but I have an idea for you that you might just love. When we think of "ornaments" we think of buying them and putting them on our tree. This usually happens a few weeks before Christmas, right! BUT, what if you make a dozen DIY ornaments and give them to someone as a gift! Let's face it, decorative ornaments can be pricey but if you make them for a special person next year when they start decorating their tree they will fall in love all over again! They will think of you as they put every single ornament on their tree. Plus its something they can use year after year! Whattya say?!
Let's get started!

Personalized Glitter Ornaments

Homemade Christmas ornaments are always an excellent gift, but when you take the time to personalize them by using the recipient's initial, the gift becomes that much more special. These monogram ornaments are made up in Christmasy glitz and sparkles, but also featuring colors that could easily hang on a doorknob or a package any time of year.
I used aqua and silver with touches of gold and white because I was thinking about the movie Frozen when I made them (the recipients will appreciate the thought), but these would look great in just about any color under the rainbow. Let's make some!

DIY Paper Bead Ring

I love the idea of taking an old technique and changing it up in a new way. This DIY Paper Bead Ring turns paper beads up a notch with glitter, sparkle and movement! The best part is that I’m using one of the new Aleene’s Always Ready Tacky Glues. This glue is also a new take on a classic glue. Such a simple idea, that makes a huge difference in your crafting! Let’s get started.

Double Sparkle, No-Shed, Secret Glitter Technique

Glitter, sometimes referred to as "the herpes of craft supplies," gets a bad rap. A sparkly, spangled, bad rap. But if there was ever a time to flex your glitter muscles, it would be this time of year. Just as the holiday season is about to kick off. By using this technique, the initial glittering process is still messy (AND FUN) but the aftermath is much more tidy. You won't be finding glitter bits in your vacuum come St. Patrick's day. Also, this technique amps up your glitter to make it more sparkly then ever!
This cluster of thrift store candlesticks makes for a great centerpiece, but you can use this method on anything that will stand still; ornaments, knick-knacks, silk flowers...you name it.

How To Make A Glittered Cuff

Hoodie HOO! Summer is still here but with school right around the corner I am going a little nuts! Those long summer days will get shorter and shorter and we might notice we will have less time to work on crafts. Today I will be showing you a craft that you can accomplish in a small amount of time! I loved making this cuff because it can be split up into parts allowing your kids to help out along the way. I let my son do the dots which made him feel involved and that is always good! I hope you enjoy it and remember the possibilities of designs are endless when decorating your personal cuff. The best part of today's tutorial is this amazing new product from Tulip!
Let's get started making our Glittered Cuff!

Glitter Shoe Fix

Have you ever had that pair of shoes you weren't quite ready to retire yet?
I mean you really like them and because of a unfortunate accident
the trash pile felt like your only option.
Well why not disguise that little flaw with a little
resurrecting your shoes from the dead and
making  them something even more beautiful.

This week I'm at the iLoveToCreate Design Studio and Alexa asked me to whip up a batch of Galaxy Glitter Goo! I love it when I get assignments like this. This project is super fun to make for kids' sensory activities because it is super gooey and sparkly! And easy to clean up too!
Read on to see how to make it!

Gold Dipped Glitter Clutch

A black clutch should be a staple in every girls wardrobe, but no one ever said that staples had to be boring, did they? This gold dipped glitter clutch is definitely not boring, but I would still consider it a staple. It is functional and fabulous at the same time; Perfect for everyday use as well as a night out on the town.

Sparkly Stained Glass Jars

When you are a crafter, you see opportunity in every object - especially glass jars! I haven't exactly jumped on the mason jar craze, but I do love jars with different shapes and curves. Not only do they add a sense of beauty to a space, but can also be very functional. I gathered up the empty jars in my house and made a fun collection, yes, even a mason jar too! I used Collage Pauge, leftover Tulip One-Step Dye, and Tulip Fashion Glitter! Click below to see my full tutorial with lots of pictures!

Sequined Embellished Bottle

Being a craft blogger can be a lot of work. With so many trends, techniques, and ideas out there, sometimes my mind goes blank. I just want to make stuff and not think about any of that. Therefore, every now and then I just have to pull down the shade to it all and go back to my roots.

For me, it's all about loud and shiny. I think it's my Mexican roots. In Mexico, many people just take whatever is at their fingertips and decorate it. Cans, Cigarette boxes, tins, you name it. and of course - beer bottles! Absolutely anything goes.

That is the case with this week's project. I came across this awesome Corona beer bottle and knew a glittering session was in store. It's heavy, chunky and has a beautiful shape. I love the printed label on the glass. It also gave me a chance to use up some sequins that I purchased all the way from India! I can use my bottle as a vase or candle holder, or just to add a blast of color.

Glittered Heart Napkins

Wahoo! It's almost time to celebrate Valentine's Day and I have to admit something to you. I am not really a fan of the actual holiday BUT I am a fan of the colors involved with this holiday. Who doesn't love loads of pinks, reds and whites! Today I will show you how to make glittered heart napkins. These can be used for a table setting, a gift, a place to put your favorite things on or a dish towel. The ideas are endless!

Let's go make some glittery napkins, y'all!

Glittered Glam Christmas Trees

I think I love Christmas for one very distinct reason... It is totally acceptable to have everything in your home covered with glitter. In fact, it's highly encouraged! So I decided to bling out a pair of paper mache cones I had in my craft stash!

3 Ways to Add Flair to Your Plastic Flatware

When it comes to my Thanksgiving Day, my family visits at least three houses. And each house has at least 20-50 people chowing down on turkey and pumpkin pie. Real silverware is out of the question! But here is a way to still look classy with all those peeps to serve - pick up a set of plastic silver flatware and dip them in Tulip Soft Paint. Here are three ways!

Glitter Bones and Heart Tee.

I LOVE this time of year.
When I was young I could not wait to come up with a costume to Trick or Treat in from things I just had laying around the house. Now that I am all grown up I still feel like a little kid when October rolls around. It brings back such awesome memories. I wanted to make a shirt that I could wear even after the month of October. So the Glitter Bones Shirt was created.

DIY Glitter Polkadot T-shirt

One of my very favorite Tulip products is the fashion glitter transfer sheets.  I think it's so cool that you can easily put glitter anywhere without making a big mess.  The transfer sheets made this glitter polkadot shirt really easy to make.

Glittered Tie-Dye Totes

Last month I helped run a booth for the Tie-Dye Your summer campaign and we had leftover totes. These weren't normal boring totes, they were really nice ones - fully lined with a big roomy area for decorating. I knew I wanted to dye them, but to give them even more personality, I added some glittered elements! Here is a video I made showing the process! It was really fun!
